The PNA Home Design and Remodel Fair is a home show on a neighborhood scale. The Phinney Ridge Neighborhood Association puts on several events throughout the year and the Home Design and Remodel Fair is always a great kick off for the start of 2016.
All three levels of the "Blue Building" will be filled with some of the best Contractors, Designers, Architects, Landscape Designers and Specialty Contractors Seattle has to offer. The bottom floor of the Phinney Ridge Neighborhood Center will have permit specialists from the City of Seattle. It's a great way to talk with city employees who are likely to have answers or know where to point you in the right direction.
As a former building contractor, I like to talk with the person who will be actually doing the work on my home knowing all too well a salesman for a company can outshine an employee or the owner of a large company may send the wrong employee for the job. I want to speak with the person who will be on site and at the minimum be the one supervising the job. Before I sign on the dotted line know the person selling me the company will be doing the work and knows how to solve my particular set of problems. I rarely find that kind of assurance at the larger home shows. For a mere $6 a person, some of the best contractors and service companies in the Seattle area at at this show waiting to discuss your project.

Give yourself some time and also attend some of the excellent presentations and make a day out of strolling the retail core of Phinneywood or walk around Green Lake.
The Theme this year is "Smaller Living, Larger Life" a theme that is well represented in the Phinney Ridge culture. A number of presenters and exhibitors are also a member of the NW EcoBuilding Guild and have years of experience in this topic.
